All Metro Sports Awards

Due to the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Star Tribune is now accepting nominations for three special honors that will be announced at a virtual version of the Star Tribune All-Metro Sports Awards. The awards will be announced during the week of June 15th. 

To submit a nomination, simply follow the steps below. After the nomination period concludes, nominees will be evaluated and winners carefully chosen by the Star Tribune Sports staff. 

The nomination deadline is 5 p.m., May 27th

You’ll need a SportsEngine account to submit a nomination; creating an account is easy. Once you hit “Continue” below, you’ll be asked to select the person you are registering. Select yourself (the nominator) and hit “Continue” to proceed with your nomination.

1. The Courage in Competition Award
   Given to the student athlete who has displayed great courage this school year, in any form.
    
2. The Student First Award
   Awarded to the student-athlete who has performed at the highest level in the classroom this season. 
    
3. The Difference-Maker of the Year
   Awarded to a person who displayed an extraordinary spirit of service and selflessness in supporting student athletes and advancing high school athletics in the metro area
